Josh Ritter, Shooter Jennings, Bio Ritmo, Late Night Pick: The Coup

Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band are in town tonight to play a Groovin' in the Garden show at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. With your ticket to the show, you'll also get a free digital download of Josh' new album, "The Beast in its Tracks" which is getting fine reviews. Tix are $25 in advance, $30 at the gate. Gates open at 5:30 and the show starts around 6 with opener David Wax Museum. If you want a preview of tonight's show or can't make it, here is a full show Josh recently did for NPR:



Over at The National tonight, it's outlaw country with Shooter Jennings. Hopefully, some of you were able to win free tickets to the show (see yesterday's blog). On the local music scene, salsa band Bio Ritmo will be over at Balliceaux tonight starting at 9:30 and it's $6 to get in. Here the are playing "La Muralla" featuring Giustino Riccio on timbale.
