Alt-country hero, Steve Earle, is on Late Show with David Letterman tonight (11:35 PM, CBS). Steve & the Dukes have a new album out now called "Terraplane". Here's some classic Steve from way back in 1988 when nobody knew what alt-country was so he was helping to invent it:
