Tonight on Last Call with Carson Daly (1:35 AM, NBC) is a band I really dig that goes by the name Midlake. From their sound, you might think they've been around since 1970 and were part of the English folk rock scene and produced by Alan Parsons. But they actually started in 2000 and hail from Denton, TX. Here's a 20 minute set they did on KEXP in December 2013:
