Late Night Pick: Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake is on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC at 11:35 PM tonight. Not sure if he'll just be performing or if he'll get into some skits like he does on Jimmy Fallon's show. So many Jimmy's on late night TV. Just like McCartney's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, JT will be performing right on Hollywood Boulevard. JT will do songs from his album (just released today), "The 20/20 Experience, 2 of 2".

A Great Big Pile of Leaves, Three Sheets to the Wind, Trongone Band, Late Night Pick: Justin Timberlake

At The Camel tonight (Thursday), pop/rock band A Great Big Pile of Leaves heads up a big show with five, count 'em, five bands. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7:30. It's $10 to get in. Opening the show will be Goldtooth, Sugar Glyder, Herro Sugar (I hope we don't get diabetes with all this sugar), and Sainthood Reps. The Grantland web site included AGBPOL's album, "You're Always On My Mind" on their list of The Forgotten Pop-Punk Records of Summer. Here's "Slumber Party" from the album:



Yacht rock cover band, Three Sheets to the Wind, will be at Tobacco Company tonight. Show goes from 9 PM until midnight and it's FREE. In their honor, here's some classic yacht rock from England Dan & John Ford Coley doing "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight":



If you want classic rock without the yacht, go see Trongone Band tonight at Cary St. Cafe. Show starts at 10 PM and it's FREE.

Late Night Pick: Justin Timberlake

No pick on Friday because I was slammed at work and no pick yesterday because I took my son to the Redskins training camp, which was underwhelming for both of us. But tonight, you can check out a repeat of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with that renaissance man for our times, Justin Timberlake. He can act, he can dance, he can sing, he can rap, he can discover nuclear fission (at least I hope he can) and tonight he'll be dancing and singing and doing some comedy with Jimmy Fallon. Justin will be on Jimmy Fallon all week as they repeat the Timberweek series of shows. Late Night is on NBC at 12:35 AM.

Late Night Pick: Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake continues his week-long residency as the music guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on NBC at 12:35 AM. He's supporting his well-recieved new album, "The 20/20 Experience". Apparently, he's a big fan of that ABC news show and the entire album consists of him doing classic news stories from the show. OK, that's not really true, but you can see/hear what the music sounds like tonight on the show. Here's a clip from his appearance on Saturday Night Live last week where he reprised his "D**k in a Box" character with Andy Samberg. And you may recognize two other wild and crazy guys.
